React v16 will ship with MIT license

Many companies were skeptical about BSD licensing of React, as the license prohibited usage of React in any form of development that will compete with Facebook's business.

Facebook has lot of business and are involved in many variations of it, so it prohibited many companies from adopting React for their development.

Above scenario has paved way for companies to choose other frameworks to avoid legal implications. This situation was in discussion within React open source community for a long time, and now it has a positive response/direction  from Facebook.

From React v16, the library will be published with MIT licence, which will wipe out the concern raised by company law firms.

I'm pretty sure, react with its additional freedom of usage will attract more professional teams to adapt the library without concern.
